  Dealing with premature greying for a while, 

I was tired of making time every month to go visit the salon and get this taken care of.

 Hi I’m alex, I’m going to share my tricks for a super luxe root touch that you can do at home. 

Remember, a squeaky clean scalp and dried hair is the perfect base for the fun transformation that’s about to happen!

 So I always use a clarifying shampoo. It gives a lot of lather which means it nicely removes all that dirt and oil build up that happens over time.

 I've found a way to do a root touch up at home with the Godrej Expert Rich Creme, let me show you how!

 I use the shade natural black because that's what suits me the best. They also have a bunch of other shades to choose from like dark brown, natural brown and honey brown too. 

What I like to do is simply part my hair in the middle and then divide each of these parts into two sections. 

The last thing I want is colour stains on my skin so I always apply some petroleum jelly on my hairline ears and neck.

 Now I personally feel that choosing a no ammonia formula is a must! 

This new version of Godrej Expert Rich Creme also has the amazing aloe vera in it. 

Apart from repairing the dead skin cells on the scalp, it also deeply conditions and nourishes dry hair leaving it silky and smooth which is exactly how your mane feels after a stylish salon sesh! 

The kit already comes with pre-measured sachets of the colorant and the developer. The sachets also have markings to cut and avoid any leakages or spills. 

Simply pour these into a clean glass or plastic bowl and mix till they form a thick consistency! 

I start from the front of my hairline and cover the entire parting half an inch from the roots till the base of the neck.

 The key is to make sure you cover all the layers because you don't want to miss any grey spots. I wait it out for 30 minutes and then I give it a quick rinse!

 So I have to say that this not only vanishes my stubborn greys, but I also get to see this natural shine and gloss which to be honest I am used to seeing only after a pocket draining parlour visit.

 I really like how this makes my hair look and feel as well, which is also really important. I love my black hair and I take care of it, so I want to flaunt it. 

So when I have my silky and refreshed mane by my side, I like to take this to the next level with a super simple blow drying technique!

 I like using a paddle brush that I keep close to my roots to give it some height and volume that allows my touched up strands to peek through.

 Then, I blow dry it upwards and inwards to give my hair that sexy salon-like bounce and wave! 

So now you know you don't really need to go to the parlour when you can get salon style hair like I do right at home!
