10 Baking Soda Beauty Tips. Baking soda is a common ingredient used through out the world in cooking and baking. 

Did you know that it also has some wonder full beauty uses for the hair, skin, teeth and nails? 
This powerful white powder has been used since ancient times and is also known as sodium bicarbonate. 

This is an alkaline substance which is a powerful antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent. Let's take a look at 10 baking soda beauty uses.

 1. Tooth Whitening: Baking Soda can be used to whiten the teeth naturally without the need for harsh chemicals. Simply sprinkle some on your toothbrush and clean the teeth. 

The alkalinity helps to get rid of yellowtails on the teeth and destroys plaque. 

2. Skin Exfoliation: Baking soda can be used to exfoliate the skin on the body. Simply add 2 tablespoons baking soda to 100mlof water in a bottle. 

Add a few drops of your favorite  essentialia and shake to combine the ingredients. Rub this on the skin around the body in circular motions to remove dead skin cells. 

The baking soda promotes the growth of new, healthy skin cells.

 3. Face Exfoliation: Baking soda can also be used to exfoliate the face and has been shown to reduce acne and skin pigmentation.

 This works well for those with sensitive skin. Simply follow the same procedure as point2, and massage in a circular motion.

 4. Treating Eye bags: You can get rid of eyebags around the eyes and dark circles using baking soda. 

Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 250ml of warm water.

Let the cotton pads sit on the eye bags for20-30 minutes before washing with a gentle soap.

Simply wet the hair and scalp and massage1 tablespoon of baking powder into the scalp.

Soak your feet in a basin or bucket for 20minutes, using 3 liters of hot water with 4 tablespoons of baking soda. Be sure to stir this well before submerging the feet. 

You can add some soothing essential oils such as lavender, Ylang Ylang or cinnamon to improve this. This relaxes the nervous system of the body and improves the skin health on the feet. 

10. Natural Deodorant: You can use baking soda to prevent body odour especially under the arms. This is an excellent alternative to the harsh chemicals within store bought deodorants. 

The white powder absorbs moisture and sweat from the skin, and reduces the smell. Mix 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with 2 table spoons of water.
